Relocation and Expansion into Spectrum and Barings’ New Uptown Office Tower Fosters Collaboration and Industry-leading Culture
CHARLOTTE, October 19, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the firm has leased approximately 16,000 square feet at 300 South Tryon, a mixed-used development in Charlotte’s Uptown Submarket developed by The Spectrum Cos. in a joint venture with Barings.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Keith Bell, John Christenbury and Brett Gray represented the firm in negotiations for its new Class A space, while Maxwell Hanks of Spectrum represented ownership. Cushman & Wakefield’s Andrew Laing and Camille Farkas will lead project management for the firm’s office buildout at 300 South Tryon.
Cushman & Wakefield plans to relocate to 300 South Tryon in the first quarter of 2019 and consolidate Charlotte personnel into the 11th floor of the 638,000-square-foot office tower. Cushman & Wakefield’s Charlotte Valuation & Advisory offices will remain in the SouthPark submarket.
The firm’s new, modern workplace will feature industry-leading technology; flexible focus, collaboration and conference rooms to meet individual and team needs; adjustable, standing desks; interior offices; access to healthy snacking and dining options; a wellness room; and event spaces to foster Cushman & Wakefield’s culture.

In addition to its Class A office space, 300 South Tryon’s amenities include 20,000-square-feet of street-level retail; two restaurants, La Belle Helene and Angeline’s; Parliament Espresso & Coffee Bar, Kimpton’s Tryon Park Hotel and its 19th floor rooftop bar, Merchant & Trade, adjacent to the office tower; and a linear park connecting to Romare Bearden Park. Additionally, a gym at the property is under construction.
